Space X – Mars Operations Hub | 2032

The SpaceX Mars Operations Hub is a visionary international control and habitability project, conceived for 2032 as the main operations center for astronauts in the first phase of human colonization of Mars.

Strategically located in Tempe, Arizona, this region was selected for its extreme desert conditions, geological similarity to Martian terrain, low humidity, high solar radiation, and vast open spaces, making it an ideal terrestrial analogue for simulation, testing, and pre-mission training for Mars. The project proposes a completely autonomous architectural system, where the entire structure is manufactured using advanced robotic units—autonomous construction robots guided by artificial intelligence, capable of operating in harsh environments without human intervention. This methodology anticipates the actual construction processes on Mars, where precision, efficiency, and autonomy will be crucial.

At the heart of the life support system is the MOXIE (Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment) device, a revolutionary technology designed to generate oxygen from the Martian atmosphere. Thanks to this system, astronauts can live and operate inside the HUB without helmets, in breathable conditions similar to those on Earth, allowing for extended stays, high operational performance, and psychological stability.

The HUB incorporates all the areas necessary for human survival and performance: command and control centers, research laboratories, physical training areas, medical units, mental recovery spaces, private living quarters, and common areas, ensuring a comprehensive balance between body, mind, and operation. This project is not just a control center; it is a prototype for future off-planet living, redefining how architecture responds to extreme environments, technological autonomy, and planetary-scale challenges.

The future of housing, operational management, and human life on Mars begins here.

We design architecture capable of adapting to any climatic condition, in any territory and on any planet, positioning ELITE 24 globally as a studio that builds the future beyond the limits of the Earth.
