CHICÓ KITCHEN 506
From Raw Concrete to Contemporary Comfort
This project redefines a kitchen that was originally unfinished, raw, and fragmented, transforming it into a bright, functional, and deeply livable space where the design cleans, organizes, and elevates the everyday experience.
The intervention completely eliminates the exposed concrete, giving way to smooth walls in light tones that multiply natural light and visually expand the space. The old suspended ceiling is replaced with a continuous drywall ceiling with recessed lighting, achieving a cleaner, more modern, and hygienic aesthetic.
The spatial organization is resolved through an L-shaped layout with a central island, directly connected to the dining table, making the kitchen a social and family hub. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry optimizes storage and conceals structures and installations, reinforcing the visual purity of the space.
The materials play with an elegant contrast: glossy white cabinetry that reflects the light and a dark wood-toned island that acts as a focal point. The earth-toned flooring adds warmth and balances the minimalist aesthetic of the space.
Lighting becomes a key element. In addition to recessed technical lighting, an organically designed pendant light breaks the geometric rigidity and adds identity, character, and sophistication.
A kitchen designed not only for cooking, but for living, where comfort, light, and architecture blend seamlessly.
